Dolphon Robin Simonis sluit aan bij DBL team
Robin Simonis maakt aankomend seizoen deel uit van het DBL team van Basketball Community Gelderland. Daarnaast blijft hij spelen voor het promotiedivisie team uit Bemmel, de Dreamfields Dolphins.
De 23-jarige powerforward uit Arnhem heeft, naast Arnhem Eagles, zijn jeugdopleiding doorgebracht bij het talentenprogramma van TBG Dragons uit Nijmegen. Afgelopen twee jaar speelde Robin voor de Dreamfields Dolphins. Daar is hij uitgegroeid tot captain en een van de steunpilaren van het team. Ook aankomend seizoen zal hij deel uitmaken van de selectie.
Robin: ‘’Dat ik de kans krijg om op het hoogste niveau te trainen en te spelen voelt voor mij als een beloning voor het harde werk van de laatste jaren. Ik heb zin om dit seizoen om veel energie te geven en te laten zien wat ik kan.’’
Matthew Otten: ‘’Robin is een speler die je in je team wilt hebben. Iemand die hard werkt en zijn teamgenoten altijd op de eerste plaats zet. We zijn verheugd dat hij aansluit bij het DBL team en daarnaast blijft spelen bij de Dreamfields Dolphins. Het promotiedivisie team in Bemmel en het DBL team zullen nauw samenwerken, waarbij talentvolle jongens de kans krijgen om door te groeien naar eredivisie niveau.’’
Dolphin Robin Simonis joins DBL team
Robin Simonis will be part of the DBL team of Basketball Community Gelderland this season. He will also continue to play for the promotion division team from Bemmel, the Dreamfields Dolphins.
The 23-year-old powerforward from Gelderland has, in addition to Arnhem Eagles, spent his youth at the talent program of TBG Dragons from Nijmegen. Robin played for the Dreamfields Dolphins for the past two years. There he became a captain and one of the pillars of the team. He will also be part of the selection next season.
Robin: “Getting the opportunity to train and play at the highest level feels like a reward for the hard work of the last few years. I am looking forward to giving a lot of energy this season and showing what I can do.”
Matthew Otten: “Robin is a player you want on your team. Someone who works hard and always puts his teammates first. We are delighted that he will join the DBL team and will continue to play with the Dreamfields Dolphins. The promotion division team in Bemmel and the DBL team will work closely together, giving talented boys the opportunity to play at the highest level. ‘’
