Duane Wilson nieuwe combo guard voor Yoast United
Yoast United versterkt zich aankomend seizoen met de Amerikaanse Duane Wilson. De 26-jarige combo guard begon zijn college carrière bij het prestigieuze Marquette, dezelfde school waar ook Dwayne Wade speelde in zijn collegeperiode. In zijn senior jaar maakte hij de overstap naar Texas A&M, waar hij gemiddeld 9 punten en 4 assists uitdeelde.

Wilson vervolgde zijn carrière in Europa bij het Duitse Neurenberg Falcons (Pro A), waar hij mooie cijfers noteerde; 18.3 punten, 4,2 assists en 1.7 steals gemiddeld. Coach Paul Vervaeck over de nieuwe aanwinst: ‘’Duane is een atletische en veelzijdige combo guard. Een speler met een solide achtergrond, die goed past bij het soort basketball dat we willen spelen.’’
Duane over zijn komst naar Yoast United: ‘’Vooral de cultuur van de organisatie spreekt mij erg aan. Na goede gesprekken met de coach en het bestuur, verwelkomen zij mij met open armen. De nieuwe league zie ik als een mooie kans om mijn skills en leiderschap te laten zien.’’
Het team van Yoast United bestaat nu uit Kaleb Warner, Bob Berghuis, Nesta Agasi en Duane Wilson. De rest van de selectie wordt aankomende weken gepresenteerd.

Duane Wilson newest addition Yoast United
Yoast United signed American Duane Wilson for upcoming season in the BNXT League. The 26-year-old combo guard began his college career at the prestigious Marquette, the same school where Dwayne Wade played during his college days. In his senior year, he transferred to Texas A&M, where he averaged 9 points and 4 assists.
Wilson continued his career in Europe with the German Nurnberg Falcons (Pro A), where he had a solid season, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 assists and 1.7 steals. Coach Paul Vervaeck about the new addition: “Duane is an athletic and versatile combo guard. A player with a solid background, who fits the type of basketball we want to play.”
Duane about his arrival at Yoast United: ‘’I’m joining the team because of the culture of the organization. They welcome me with open arms with a great coach and GM. I see the new league as a great opportunity to showcase my skills and leadership.’’
In addition to Kaleb Warner, Bob Berghuis, Nesta Agasi and Duane Wilson, the rest of the roster will be presented in the coming weeks.
