Jett Speelman keert terug bij Yoast United
De Amerikaanse Jett Speelman komt ook in de BNXT League uit voor Yoast United. De 27-jarige power forward speelde afgelopen seizoen voor de debutant in de Dutch Basketball League en kende een uitstekend jaar, waarin hij de Kees Akerboom Trofee won.
Jett was afgelopen seizoen met zijn werklust en scorend vermogen een belangrijk onderdeel van het succes van Yoast United. De schutter scoorde gemiddeld 16.5 punten per wedstrijd tegenover een driepunterspercentage van bijna 50%. ‘’Naast zijn kwaliteiten als schutter pakt Jett de nodige rebounds en is hij een efficiënte speler en een harde werker die we graag bij de selectie hebben, aldus coach Paul Vervaeck.
Jett is zelf erg enthousiast om weer terug te keren naar Nederland: ‘’Ondanks Covid heb ik afgelopen seizoen een mooie tijd gehad. Yoast United is een echte familie waar ik op mijn plek ben. De club is ambitieus net als ik en het voelt goed om terug te keren. Ik hoop de fans nu in het echt te kunnen ontmoeten en wat meer mee te krijgen van het leven in Nederland.’’
Het team van Yoast United is bijna compleet en bestaat nu uit Kaleb Warner, Bob Berghuis, Nesta Agasi, Duane Wilson, Lucas N’Guessan, Josh Ferguson, Jaro Abrams, Nate Britt en Jett Speelman.

American Jett Speelman will be playing for Yoast United in the BNXT League. The 27-year-old power forward played for the debutant in the Dutch Basketball League last season and had an excellent year, winning the Kees Akerboom Trophy.
Jett was an important part of Yoast United's success last season with his work ethic and scoring ability. The shooter averaged 16.5 points per game with a three-point percentage of almost 50%. ‘’In addition to his qualities as a shooter, Jett is a strong rebounder, an efficient and hard working player that is a great addition for our BNXT roster’’, according coach Paul Vervaeck.
Jett is excited about his return to Yoast United: “Despite Covid, I had a great time last season. Yoast United is ambitious and has that family feel I am looking for, so it feels good to come back. I can’t wait to meet the fans in real life and get to experience the Netherlands for the 100 percent.”
Yoast United's roster is nearly complete and now includes Kaleb Warner, Bob Berghuis, Nesta Agasi, Duane Wilson, Lucas N'Guessan, Josh Ferguson, Jaro Abrams, Nate Britt and Jett Speelman.
